Sometimes there is nothing to be but go to the playground and act like a 5-year-old.

Shelby is a recent graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Professional Writing, focusing on Editing and Publishing. A native New Yorker from the eastern end of Long Island, she is spending her first post-college year working at a winery in the Fall, teaching skiing over the Winter, traveling in the Spring, exploring the world of writing, and trying to figure this whole “adult thing” out.

She loves books, baking, skiing, holidays, being outside, exploring, eating, traveling, and drinking ridiculous amount of coffee and tea. She is rather silly and quite comfortable in her nerd-like tendencies, having seen every episode of Star Trek and MASH as well as repeatedly all of the Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings movies. She is a dual American-Australian citizen and loves traveling more than most. To say she is a caffeine-lover is putting it lightly, she owns 3 coffee machines, and has more flavors of tea in her cabinet than anyone should.

That is all the personal details I am willing to admit to the internet at the moment, but keep reading my blogs and I can say with absolute certainty that you will get to know me pretty well. Happy reading, please subscribe!

  1. Wow, Shelby! You’re adorkable! How are you? I am a recent University of Connecticut graduate with a B.A. in Political Science! My blog is closely related to gender politics – if anything to transition from my degree. I wish the best of luck in all your blogging endeavors for 2013! Take care, love.

    • Thank you! Congrats on graduation. I considered UConn for a while, I hope you enjoyed it. I took a look at your blog and wow its a bit intimidating I’ll have to dedicate some more time when I am not so tired from a very long Monday to have a good look. Happy writing and thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet!

      • In three months, 4,000 followers! That alone defines intimidating! Haha, thanks! Actually, I would love to write a book about the puppetry management they have with all their departments. One hand doesn’t know what the other is doing. That’s every university though! The main campus in Storrs is beautiful, especially during autumn and winter. I have many mixed reviews. haha I am looking forward to your visit! Go rest, dear. Take it easy. My blog will only entice your passionate side, and you’ll relax the other way! šŸ˜‰

  2. Hey Shelby! I currently live in Holland, MI … born and raised in Battle Creek. Found your page by accident… and saw you went to MSU so I thought I would say hey! (even though I am a UofM fan :))

    • Go Green! It is always nice to hear from someone from Michigan, even if they wear the wrong colors. Your blog is very impressive, it looks like you have seen quite a bit of the world. As you might have seen I am traveling in Europe at the moment. The remainder of my trip takes me from Budapest to Prague, and then to Berlin. If you have any suggestions from your experience it would be most welcome. Happy traveling!
